| The Inca civilization built the greatest empire in the history of the Andes civilization. Kenko ruins existed as a fete place in it. It is similar to the submarine ruins in Yonaguni Island with structure which shaved off the natural base rock. There are also places of various religious institutions are observed, such as a mummy room, and the place that offers a sacrifice in the ruins. At the summit part of ruins, there is the monument which wase engraved, such as the shape of llama, condor, puma, and snake, and the trace of the sun and snake drawings also remains at the surface of the rock. According to the Inca's view of the world, the condor is considered to be a guardian deity on heavens, and puma is a terrestrial guardian deity, and snake is a guardian deity in the underground world. These monuments are precious keys which verify faith of the ancient Inca. The relief thought to be a turtle and Manta(ray) are engraved, at the submarine ruins. | |
