Main terrace

The top two pictures are from the Okinawan website (the left one had to be electronically mirrored), and what is called "main terrace" is the plateau visible on the left in the left picture. Here this is renamed "middle terrace", because the main terrace is obviously on the top, see the overviews. The top right picture focusses in on the corner of the terrace, the middle and bottom pictures do this even more (the Team Atlantis gallery nr. 9 and details gallery nr. 10 respectively). Many of the pictures of the monument are from this area, because of its relative richness in detail, see the details gallery. Even then, note the huge size of the structures in the top left picture (note its distortion due to a wide angle camera), indicated by the divers in the bottom picture.
